About PROMOTER (ver 1.01)
Program has been removed from this web site as most analyses were exceeding processing time limit.
Promoter compares several sequences and identifies shared motifs. Although written to analyze the regions adjacent to open reading frames, this
program can be used wherever sequences exhibit shared patterns. Promoter is now under alpha testing. The 5-prime regions of several groups of
genes which have/have not similar regulation will be analyzed. Regulation-specific/non-specific elements, some previously characterized, are
expected to be revealed.
Future versions of this program may include such options as analysis of the orientation of elements, the spacing between elements, and
comparison with previously-characterized DNA motifs.
